[EHON] Ko^no BAIREI, artist. BAIREI GAKAN. 7 volumes, Kyo^to, Unso^do^, Taisho^ 2 [1913] We have had a copy in the past with a stamped colophon of O^saka-based Shigemoto, dated 1903. The preface is dated 1904. (The copy catalogued [at second hand?] at page 216 of Mitchell was without date). It would appear that Unso^do^ bought the blocks sometime before this issue. This copy, in the original printed paper-covered boards, is in the original chitsu clasped case and has the original Unso^do^ Pre-war price sticker for 10 yen. In any event, the volumes are very well printed in color woodcut and span the full breadth of Bairei's subjects. Well over 100 double page prints in all, each 21.3 x 26.6 cm. Complete, near fine condition, very good impressions and colors.
